Community Exercise Programme at Unipol
The programme is run by a Registered Physiotherapist with help from 3rd year students from the School of Physiotherapy.
We meet on Friday mornings at 10am, at the Unipol Gymnasium. The gym will be open from 10 – 11.30, so if you are running late please come along, we are quite casual in terms of timing.
Situated at the front of the Forsyth Barr Stadium, Unipol is a university-owned facility. There is a café for a cuppa after your session.
There will be some breaks during the year because of the university semester/student holidays.
People will be assessed and work on their own programmes and goals. There will be a range of exercise equipment available.
- There is parking (card payment) available beside the gymnasium. Sometimes this carpark fills up, but there is free parking beside the sports fields and the cricket ground, if the stadium park is full.
- There is Disability Parking in the car park – limited to 1-2 parks.
- If transport is a barrier to coming, please let us know and our volunteer drivers can help.
- Wear comfortable clothing.
- Bring a water bottle.
- A friend, partner or support person is welcome to come and exercise too.
- Gold coin donation/koha
