Mihi
He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!
What is the most important thing in the world?
It is people! It is people! It is people!
Kia ora - E te iwi Whakapapa | About the programme
Kia ora - E te iwi is for people with cancer, their whānau, health professionals and people working alongside those affected by cancer. The hui provides an opportunity for whānau to participate, have input and to receive information and support. The real strength of Kia ora - E te iwi is that it enables whānau to come together, to kōrero, in a safe environment to share and support each other.
At Te Kāhui Matepukupuku o Aotearoa (Cancer Society NZ), we are committed to improving health outcomes for Māori by supporting whānau to live life well with and beyond cancer.
To support and awhi whānau Māori across the motu, our kaimaihi Māori re-worked the original Kia ora - E te iwi, which had been adopted from the Living Well with Cancer programme in 2011. In 2023 we updated the content, branding and resources.
