The Cancer Society is recruiting for a part-time position of Health Promoter/Health Educator based in Whanganui.

The Cancer Society’s mission is to improve community wellbeing by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi is foundational to our work, and reducing cancer inequities is a priority for us.

About the role:

This is a permanent part-time position of flexible hours (25 hours per week and will be arranged and confirmed with the candidate). 

We are looking for a team member passionate about education and wellbeing of the Whanganui-Rangitikei-Waimarino community.

The successful candidate will be joining a small energetic and dedicated team in the Whanganui Centre.

The purpose of the role is to:-

  • Improve Health and Wellbeing for people, whānau and community.
  • We work with schools, workplaces, businesses, health providers and community groups.
